Optimus Electronic was started in 1996, with aims to establish a reliable and reputable manufacturer of power-electronic devices, ie. switch-mode power-supplies, noise-filters & magnetic- products. Since then, the company has progressively expanded towards that aim, significantly :
1996 -Noise-filter Production Setup; VDE audit & approval.
1997-CSA audit & approval; Setup R&D center.
1998-Transformer & Power-supply Production Setup; UL audit & approval.

With the experience of setting up systems that complied with various safety standards,
1999 witnessed further significant events :
- award of ISO9002 certificate by SGS;
- approval of CCEE safety-standard for power-supply manufacturing;
- full implementation of MRP system;
- development of standard & customized products;
